Binoculars
A good pair of binoculars, or field glasses, can be used for bird watching, navigation, astronomy and making the most of the scenery around you. We all like to be able to see further than we can with the naked eye and a good pair of binoculars, such as those made by Leica and Maushaus, enables us to do so. You will be able to identify the markings of birds and animals spotted whilst hiking and recognise land marks from a distance. Binoculars are also an essential tool in any search and rescue work.
