Due to this, the orange survival bag is considered an essential piece of kit by mountain rescue services.

The LiFESYSTEMS Mountain Survival Bag is a strong and lightweight emergency shelter, designed to reduce the loss of vital body heat and therefore the risk of hypothermia. The bright orange colour means it can also be used as a distress signal.
