Over a century ago, the first Richard Wheatley aluminium fly box was produced, setting a standard of craftsmanship which has been maintained with pride ever since by his sons and grandsons. Today, the 'Wheatley Fly Box' is known and prized by fly fishermen throughout the world, tested and proved by their fathers and grandfathers.

From the Richard Wheatley range, Ray has chosen the 4301F aluminium case as an ideally-sized container for various bits of outdoor kit. Ray's personal choice is to use it as a 'Minor Cuts Kit', storing in it the various First Aid items necessary for small injuries when out in the field. However, this case is the perfect size to store any of the following items:

  • Fishing tackle
  • The Steel Striker, tinder and other means of fire-lighting
  • Medication
