This quick-release lanyard is a great way of keeping your tools or bits of kit close to hand throughout the day, without the worry that you're going to lose them somewhere out in the field.

Perfect for fire steels, folding knives, compasses etc., one end is looped around your belt while the other is attached to your chosen piece of kit which you can then store in your pocket. When needed, your kit can quickly and easily be freed by way of the quick-release mechanism.

Features a hand-made leather belt loop, complete with hand-burnished edges and finished with a traditional crease line and tough steel eyelet. The RM Snowshoe logo is subtly embossed on the front.

  • Nickel-plated brass quick-release mechanism with 1" steel split ring at each end
  • Foliage/Olive green 550 Para Cord lanyard (40 cm approx.)

I at first expected the quick release mechanism to be magnetic. But it is actually a far stronger ball bearing push release type. I use mine to secure my Ray mears bushcraft knife, which is a lot heavier than a firesteel or pocket knife. It manages this task with ease and therefore I would have no worries about attaching any items up to around 500g. Great leather work and brass eyelets, worth the money!

I am going to have to give this piece of kit a 10/10. Recived Christmas Eve, and slid it straight onto my belt. Awesome. Connected my small knife onto the clip, the possibility for use are endless for work or play. Very well made and very functional.
