When we started making footwear in 1976, we set out to make functional, hard-working and durable footwear, using superior leathers, soles and quality fittings. All our footwear is constructed using the tried-and-tested Stitchdown method for comfort. Our shoe moulds are all in half-sizes for a more generous and spacious fit.
The Rogue RB-5 Trans Africa Boot was specially developed for the Cape to Cairo walk in 1998 as a hard-working trail/walking boot. It has been worn exclusively by Wilderness Trail Guides in the Kruger National Park since 2003.
Essentially an up-market version of their popular RB-2 Light Trail Boot, the RB-5 benefits from the following additional features:
- Water-resistant outer
- Waterproof insole thanks to a layering of ripstock canvas
- Full-grain leather uppers
- Fully lined with full-grain leather
- Ball-bearing easy-roller lace loops for quick tightening
- Lace lock

Sizing: Imported from South Africa, these boots display half-size labels (8 1/2, 9 1/2 etc.) which equate to the UK sizing quoted on our website. Please note that, due to their half-sizing, Rogue Boots are known to come up slightly larger and wider than traditional UK sizes - please bear this in mind when choosing your size.

Only took a couple of days of light use to break in, and they are the first hiking boot I ve had that give a tactile feel of the surface you walk on. They do have two minor negatives, the laces and the footbed are bobin's, and you will get rid of them and replace them with your own personal preference.

Very comfy boot from the first time I put them on. They have kept my feet warm and dry in these cold months. Rogue know how to make a proper pair of boots.
