The success story of the Esbit brand began in 1936, when the first solid fuel tablets were invented by Erich Schumm. Soon after, further products were launched, including the Pocket Stove, of which more than 10 million pieces have been sold so far.
Favoured the world over for its exceptionally small pack-size and low weight, the Esbit Pocket Stove is a god-send for those who want cooking equipment that doesn't weight them down - at just 82 g, the Pocket Stove - Small is one of the lightest camping stoves around. Used with Esbit's solid fuel tablets, you have a pocket-sized cooking set with a strong heat output.
The stove's cooking grade is selectable in two steps, making it suitable for cooking with cups, pots and pans. One 14 g solid fuel tablet is capable of heating half a litre of water in approximately 7 minutes.

Just received my Esbit Pocket Stove - small and used it for a trip last weekend. It is more expensive than competing hexamine stoves but is smaller and constructed to a higher standard. This is no 'one shot' pressed steel stove from a ration pack but a pocketable lightweight cooker that will take plenty of use and, I predict will last me years. Great for a brew when on the move or an emergency backup.
