If you're buying a high quality tent such as the Hilleberg Akto, it makes sense to protect it as best you can while it's in use. The Hilleberg Footprint is an ideal addition to the Akto, helping to prolong the life of the tent.
Quite simply, the Footprint is a tough, fitted groundsheet, designed to sit under the entire tent, including the vestibule. The Akto Footprint offers complete protection to your tent from hard or sharp items as well as wet surfaces. By being completely fitted and secured in place, it protects the inner from sharp objects and abrasion while also providing a groundsheet for the porch area.
Hilleberg recommend that you face the coated side of the Footprint upwards, to protect the coating from the ground.
