0.3 A fantastic edition to anybodys Bushcraft kit! I had a smaller axe that I inherited from my Grandfather. It was small and just wasn't up to the chopping and carving tasks wanted from an axe and the blade was very dull! So I purchased the Gransfors small forest axe because it had been highly recommended by Ray. I opened the box and found it was larger than I had expected it to be, I took the axe out of the high quality leather sheath to inspect the blade which was razor sharp! keen to find out what it could handle, I took it out to chop some fire wood which it managed very well. The sharp edge was capable of shaving up feather sticks without a hitch. All in all a nicely balanced axe suitable for heavy chopping but also fine carving. Shipped with a razor sharp edge and a great leather sheath, fantastic! A big thanks to the Woodlore team for the speedy delivery and neat packaging I will certainly be buying from you again in the future. Harry

0.3 Beautiful tool. The handle is perfectly balanced sliding through the hand like a dream. The head comes razor sharp and is easily maintained that way using the Gransfors Axe Stone, also available to purchase. I bought the Camellia Oil at the same time. If you're going to invest in quality kit you might as well preserve its quality.

0.3 Amazing bit of kit, as sharp as my Woodlore knife, and a must-have item for any bushcraft/outdoor person. Made light work of spoon, cup and bowl carving.

0.3 This is an excellent well made and well balanced axe ideal for single handed use if required. I have been using this axe for over a year now and aside from an occasional honing it has remained razor sharp from day 1. Recently when i visited home i was not afraid to employ this axe on a task much larger than it was ever designed for by quartering 2' logs which were badly knotted and it actually out performed my fathers of the shelf american logging axe. A well made tool that deserves a place in any persons toolkit.

0.3 I have used alot of axes from different manufacturers and can safely say i will be using only Gransfors from this day forward! they are built to last and are extreamly sharp, and stay sharp for long periods. Top notch stuff! Thank you!
