Para Cord is an essential piece of kit which no outdoor enthusiast should be without. Tough and non-rotting, this cord is capable of supporting up to 550 lbs, hence the name. If you've ever used this stuff you'll know that it's great and has a million different uses.

It's an ideal product to use with your bow drill to create fire by friction, as part of a snare to catch food, or simply as a place to hang your clothes at camp.

Cord usage is vast and this product is included on many of Woodlore's kit lists.

Using the same knots we were shown on the Introduction to Bushcraft course to hang the tarp, I strung this underneath. Perfect for hanging socks to air, clothes and towels to dry and it kept my boots off the ground at night.

£5 for 10 metres - why is it not in your bag already? It has many uses, from guy lines to replacing broken laces; a must-have.

You can use it for just about anything and it takes a long, long time before it starts to kink back on itself after frequent knotting - much better than any similar lines I've used. What's not to like?!
