I've been looking at these for ages but was put off by the price. However, as I was due to go on a week's course I took the plunge. Great decision! Wore it on my belt the whole time and didn't know it was there. Really pleased with it. Always had water at my hip.

Does the job, I can get a foldable spork and salt & pepper pots in the front pouch. I can see it lasting a lifetime.

The British and Aussie army have had their fair share of thirst so the covers are made for liter bottles. So I can carry 0.3 liter more water with me than in my old Dutch army bottles (don't we understand the importance of water????). The covers have the extra pockets which are as others remarked very useful. Aussie camo is almost lovely to see but works very effectively, especially in broad leaf forests. The covers are even insulated,(very important after a frosty night. Also very good is the hanging system which, instead of the old ALICE clips, are smooth plastic clips that will not wear your clothes so bad because there are no sharp edges, brilliant. And the extra bonus is the loop where I also can hang the covers from. It might sound a bit overdone but if you ever needed to have to rely on your water supply you're glad the bottles and cover do not let you down.

Package shipped quickly. Cases solid, very practical, ugly color, a bit pricey unfortunately.

Does exactly what it needs to do, which is to hold the NATO bottle & crusader metal mug, plus the additional pocket can hold useful extra kit. I've found that a millbank bag, light-my-fire titanium spork and a match-safe fit in the pocket with room to spare. Alternatively the pocket can hold a Honey Stove, or the Heavy Cover metal mug lid, or a 2oz tobacco tin (which is what I use as a tinderbox). A useful piece of well-made kit.

First impression is that it is a very sturdy piece of kit. I've been using a standard USGI cover, which is just nice, but just a tad too small. This fits the Osprey canteen perfectly and truly seems built to last. Thanks much for making this available.

Made to last, even survived my dog's chewing phase.
