The Nanok SF range of garments has been designed for the Norwegian SF forces as an insulating layer to put outside the uniform and rig. They are a perfect piece of kit for use in the Arctic or similar environments, and can be worn over the top of a thermal layering system or underneath a Gore-Tex jacket.

Nanok SF Reversible Jacket

The Nanok SF Jacket is a reversible garment made from shower-proof nylon, with an olive outer and white inner. An extremely warm yet lightweight jacket, its design allows it to be compressed into a surprisingly small pack-size, making it perfect as an extra layer that you can keep in your rucksack.

The jacket has two large pockets - one on each side - roomy enough for large Arctic-type mittens. Each pocket features a zip and wind-flap for extra protection. The arms have been reinforced with a double layer of fabrics, and are roomy enough to allow good freedom of movement.

The collar is adjustable and the zip is protected towards the chin from boths sides to increase comfort for the wearer. Hidden within the collar is a thin, adjustable hood that can also be used as a stuff sack for transport.

A baffle with tab pulls and rounded Velcro tabs protects the zipper, with a rank tab attached in the chest position. The jacket has a 25 cm shirt tail for extra warmth and is filled with the 200 gram/m² special Nanok inner with 100% heat retaining fibres.

This is a lightweight anorak, excellent for use with either the Woolpower - Ullfrotte Original layer system underneath or Norrona Recon Jacket on top.
