Further Information

The Karrimor SF Sabre 45 Rucksack is a superb outdoor pack designed for heavy use in demanding conditions. Described as a ‘must have’ in military circles, the Sabre 45 is a reliable and durable load carriage system which has been tried-and-tested by Ray Mears for well over a decade.

The Sabre 45 features a single main compartment with a capacity of 45 litres. Additional storage space can be added by attaching the Karrimor Side Pockets or other PLCE-compatible accessories.

This rucksack utilises a removable F-Format frame, which can be shaped to fit the wearers back. The S-shaped shoulder harness conforms to the user's torso which, along with the hip belt and sternum strap, helps you to maintain your balance while on the move.

A supremely durable 1000 Denier Nylon is used for the vast majority of the pack, offering long-lasting strength. This is then given a silicone/PU elastomer coating for improved tear strength, and finally a DWR finish for better water repellency.

Sewn ventilation channels, a Coolmesh-covered hip belt and lumbar and scapula pads help to wick away perspiration maintaining comfort, thereby increasing your effectiveness over prolonged periods of exertion.

I'm new to bushcraft, after hearing so many good things and great reviews, I decided to get this bag knowing it will hold up to harsh Canadian winters. Definitely recommended! Customer service and shipping was top notch. Thank you!

Absolutely brilliant bit of kit. It's by far the best bag I have ever owned. I've owned many packs, but never one of this quality. Solid build, great capacity for all but the coldest or longest trips and a good price. What more could you ask for? The pack is exceptionally comfortable. Even though I haven't used it for a trip out I have packed it both for my gear for a 2 night hike and also tried it with about 25kgs of bricks. I went for a walk with the pack full of bricks, probably around 6kms one afternoon. It took the load perfectly and even though I padded the bag out with a couple of towels I knew that it wasn't going to hurt it at all. It distributed the load well and took more weight than it would ever need for a trip outdoors. All in all, I would recommend this pack to anyone. It works fantastically well for what you pay for it.

Good day to all at Woodlore. As always, fast and professional. I received my backpack fast and well-packed. The product is well-built and robust, as all products purchased from Woodlore are. Thanks again Ray and co. Till my next purchase.

My backpack was ordered on Tuesday and arrived on Thursday in perfect condition. It feels very rugged and comfortable to wear. I tried it with a full load and it sits perfectly on my back distributing the load evenly. It's surprising how much you can fit into it. Combine this with the optional side pockets and I can take all of my kit and still have plenty of room for food etc. Excellent service and product, will definitely use again.

Took this on four days' walk in Peak District, did the job well. I'm six foot tall and the belt only just sits low enough on my hips to offer best support, taller people might find the lack of a fully-adjustable back system a drawback. The foam insert is too stiff and as there is a good built-in back cushion, the foam is redundant in my opinion. I would prefer little pockets for mobile, wallet, etc. on the front of the belt, rather than the rope loops. However, aside from those points, I'm happy with it as a mid-sized, robust, attractive and comfortable rucksack.
