Forest of Possibility is the second in a series of images published by Woodlore in celebration of our planet's wilderness heritage. Its publication coincides with the 21st Anniversary of Woodlore's inauguration.
This painting depicts the wilderness of the Taiga in Lappland during one of Woodlore's Arctic Experience Courses. Beneath your feet is the frozen river the Kalix, whilst ahead lies the vast forest of the Taiga, offering a haven of survival. With the right knowledge the forest holds the resources to sustain life.
The original painting was recorded with a mixed medium of watercolours and inks in 2003. Every effort has been made to capture the original quality and tonal range in this limited edition print using the Giclée print process.
About the Artist - Adam Attew:
Born in 1974, Adam grew up in the hills of Surrey. A natural artist, he sketched and painted from the first moment he had control of his hands. With nature right on his doorstep it has greatly influenced his work. To date he works mainly in ink, watercolour and oil, but has also essayed in sculpture with clay and metal. Fascinated by the detail of nature's form and texture, he is inspired to capture our emotional response to the natural world.
