The Icebreaker Bodyfit Leggings are a warm yet extremely lightweight base layer made from 100% merino wool. They have a functional fly and a close-to-body fit to help regulate temperature. With a fabric weight of 200 gsm, they are perfect for year-round use in the outdoors in cold to warm conditions.

Taken from Icebreaker's Active Base Layer collection, the Bodyfit Leggings make ideal active wear for cycling, hiking and skiing, as well as everyday use. Millions of merino fibres lock in body heat in the cold, but are highly breathable so you don't overheat - much like a natural thermostat. This breathability also allows perspiration to be wicked away, leaving the garment fresher for longer.

The superfine merino wool is soft against the skin, while the gusset is designed to allow for better movement, and flatlock seams help to prevent chafing. There are ecological benefits too, in that the material used is of course completely natural, biodegradable and sustainable, while production methods are ensured to be both environmentally and socially ethical.

Icebreaker is an ecological clothing system built from the superfine wool of the merino - a mountain sheep that lives in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. The merino's wool keeps it warm and dry across all seasons; it will do the same for you.
