The Icebreaker Mondo Zip turtleneck is a warm yet extremely lightweight base layer made from 100% merino wool. This close-fitting technical garment features a high, stand-up collar to block out the wind, while a front zip lets you regulate your temperature on the move. With a fabric weight of 200 gsm, it is perfect for year-round use in the outdoors in cold to warm conditions.

Taken from Icebreaker's Active Base Layer collection, the Mondo Zip makes ideal active wear for cycling, hiking and skiing, as well as everyday use. Millions of merino fibres lock in body heat in the cold, but are highly breathable so you don't overheat - much like a natural thermostat. This breathability also allows perspiration to be wicked away, leaving the garment fresher for longer.

The superfine merino wool is soft against the skin, while design features such as gussets and raglan sleeves allow for better movement, and flatlock seams help to prevent chafing. There are ecological benefits too, in that the material used is of course completely natural, biodegradable and sustainable, while production methods are ensured to be both environmentally and socially ethical.
