Our First Aid courses have been developed in partnership with Fusion Medical Limited and are designed to instil life saving techniques by using scenario based learning.

Fusion Medical Limited was formed by Emergency Ambulance Personnel with vast experience in pre-hospital emergency medicine. With expertise, and a proven track record in the teaching of First Aid and emergency medicine to the NHS, private healthcare and corporate business, they offer the best First Aid training in the industry.

The series of Wilderness Emergency Medic courses have been approved by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and on successful completion of each course you will receive a certificate.

Wilderness Emergency Medic level 1 (WEM1) 2011

Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, teachers and budding outdoor instructors alike, this 2-day course provides a solid introduction to the application of First Aid in the outdoors. The course focuses on dealing with the hazards that we face every day, not just on expeditions. In doing so, the course also raises awareness of risks and how to prevent incidents, keeping you and those with you safe while enjoying the freedom of participating in your chosen activities and pastimes.

Wilderness Emergency Medic level 2 (WEM2) 2011
Ideal for those who want to travel off the beaten track, outdoor instructors, expedition leaders and teachers, the Wilderness Emergency Medic, level 2 (WEM 2) course is a straightforward, no-nonsense, thorough 6-day long education in vital life-saving skills. Our aim is to teach you so that you will not forget what you must remember when the time comes to draw on this knowledge.

Wilderness Emergency Medic level 3 (WEM3) 2011

Wilderness Emergency Medic, level 3 (WEM 3) represents the highest level of medical training available through Woodlore. WEM 3 is a 6 day course which can only be completed following the successful completion of the WEM 2 course. This allows like-minded individuals with a proven track record to develop their skills gained on the WEM 2 course. Like the WEM 2 course, WEM 3 is scenario-based but progresses from WEM 2 and entails participants learning and putting into practice more advanced techniques.
